Chris focuses on commercial, property and employment law, including the drafting of contracts, dealing with contract disputes, assistance with business structuring and development of agreements to protect a business’ interests.

He rejoined the Grayson Clements team in 2019, after previously working for the firm as a solicitor in 2015, where he primarily focused on succession planning and wealth structuring.

His other previous roles include working as the manager of a technical writing business, with a specific focus on developing legal education documentation, and as an assessor and content creator for the Legal Executive Diploma at Open Polytechnic. He has also worked as a foreign legal representative for a commercial law firm in Cambodia.

His career highlights include his Masters dissertation discussing the effect of land law legislation on indigenous Cambodians with reference to Maori land law in New Zealand, and working with Cambodian lawyers in a precedent-setting employment dispute. Chris believes in making complex legal issues more easily understood for his clients, and producing legal outcomes that are robust, clear and innovative.
